JOB: GrafTech International Holdings, Inc. seeks Staff Scientist in Parma, Ohio to discover, develop and define carbon and graphite material science based solutions for our customers. Work with the external environment: academia and industrial partners in pursuit of external innovation. Work with the internal environment: Business Unit Management, Marketing, Production, Procurement and other technical function in accelerating commercialization of advantaged technologies.


REQUIREMENTS: PhD Degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Material Science or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or related position. Experience must include utilizing CAD, CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) tools & Programming tools such as MATLAB to perform thermal, structural and fluid dynamics modeling related to carbon and graphite materials processing and applications; working on projects in collaboration with academic/industrial/government agencies related to carbon and graphite materials and their applications; managing and leading multifunctional project teams and working on a wide range of products with end-use customers (industrial partners) for product commercialization and external innovation.
