This USA Payroll Manager will manage the daily operations of the Corporate Payroll Department including providing strategic guidance to the US payroll processing team to ensure the accurate and timely payment of all hourly and salary payrolls (Regular, Bonus, Off Cycle) while adhering to compliance with company policies, union contracts, and government regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain responsibility for the registration and closure of all state and local tax agencies and correspondence with ADP regarding tax jurisdictions.
- Manage the payroll reporting relationship with 3rd party administrator to ensure the accurate and timely deliverables of all payroll incoming/outgoing data as well as the quarterly defined contributions and annual non-discrimination test reporting.
- Work in conjunction with Deloitte and Global Benefits Accounting & Payroll Manager to properly record and comply with expatriate payroll and reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree with specialization in Accounting, Business or equivalent
- 5-7 years of US payroll processing experience with 1-2 years of management experience
- Ability to perform accurate work while adhering to critical deadlines
- Thorough understanding of the payroll, tax and benefit process is preferred
- Ability to work and maintain confidential information
- Good communication, priority setting and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles
- Periodic travel to sites and/or payroll training may be required
Special Skills:
- Certified Payroll Professional required
- ADP Certification or experience a plus
- Kronos experience preferred
