A Customer Technical Service Engineer and 36-year GrafTech veteran, Nicolás Lugo provides customers with specialized technical assistance to help optimize electric arc furnace operations in terms of melting rates, energy consumption and electrode consumption. Nicolás and his team also support customers with technical training, new projects and revamping projects. “Having the opportunity to interface with customers around the world, working with them to improve productivity and solve issues, is an incredibly rewarding part of my work,” he explains. “We learn new things every day as our customers’ first call for help when they perceive something is wrong, and we’re happy to help in their search for the solution.”
